Student Information

Below is information that prospective students will find useful as they consider whether to matriculate at Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. In addition to completing the Application for Admission, applicants will be required to submit official transcripts from all schools attended (including high school), two signed letters of recommendation, attend an open house information session, and show proficiency in the ATI TEAS examination within two attempts. Admission decisions are made at regularly scheduled Admission Committee meetings throughout the year.

Receipt of admission documents is tracked on the applicant portal on SONIS. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all required documents are submitted. The Applicant Checklist will be a useful tool for this. Once all required documents are received, the application will be reviewed by the Admission Committee at the next scheduled date. Applicants will be invited to a personal interview as part of the admissions process.

Roxborough Memorial Hospital has signed and returned the Recipient’s Funding Certification and Agreement to the Department of Education and has awarded 50% of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to our students.

Roxborough Memorial Hospital has received and awarded $83,879 to 104 students as of 45 days from receipt of funding.

The estimated total number of students at our institution who are or could be eligible to participate in the Federal student financial aid programs is 198 students. One Hundred and four students received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant

All students were invited to complete a Cares Emergency Grant application in which they explained how Covid-19 had financially impacted their lives.

The Emergency Grant amount was determined by dividing the number of eligible applicants into the funds available.

The Emergency Grants to students provided a valuable resource to our students during these economically challenging times.
