Transfer Policy
For eligibility, a student must meet all admission requirements for the Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. A grade of “C” or better is required for transfer credit. Non-nursing courses must be approved by the Admissions Committee for credit to be granted. A minimum of one year of the curriculum must be spent at the Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
Advanced Placement for Licensed Practical Nurses
Applicants for Advanced Placement for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) must meet all admission requirements for the School of Nursing. Official transcripts from all previously taken nursing courses are required before course exemption is evaluated and the challenge examination authorized.
Applicants must have graduated from a state-approved school of practical nursing, and hold a current license to practice. If applicable, a written statement from their employer indicating satisfactory performance as an LPN is required. Each applicant will be considered on an individual basis by the Admissions Committee.
Applicants may challenge the following nursing courses: Nursing 101 and Nursing 102. A fee will be charged for the challenge examination. There will be no opportunity to repeat a failed examination.
