No Need to Wait Long in the Emergency Room

08-12-2013

Roxborough Memorial Hospital Emergency Department has been working tirelessly to keep patients from waiting a long time during their visit. For patients that are treated and released, the hospital's goal is to manage their stay to under three hours. If admitted to the hospital, we want the patient to experience minimal disruption in the effort to transition to an inpatient. Our efforts have recently been recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and published in the Philadelphia Inquirer on August 11, 2013. Roxborough Memorial Hospital ranked as the 2nd best hospital in Philadelphia for Time in the Emergency Room before Admission with an average time of 4 hours and 22 minutes. This time placed 5th among 41 hospitals in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Burlington, Gloucester and Camden counties in New Jersey.
