Flu Immunization Program

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a community health care institution committed to encouraging a fuller measure of health for Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and the surrounding communities.

In keeping with this commitment, our senior students, under the supervision of their instructors, give almost 1,000 free flu vaccines in two-half day sessions each year.

Calcutta House

Once a year our students, on their own time, serve breakfast to the residents living at the Calcutta House, which is a highly supportive AIDS residential facility that provides housing and highly skilled care to men and women who are seriously ill and/or dying due to AIDS.

Toys for Tots

Each year, in keeping with the season, the students take up a collection of new toys for needy children and donate them to the Toys for Tots campaign.

Boy Scouts' Food Drive

Each year before Thanksgiving our nursing students bring in unopened, non-perishable food goods and donate them to the annual Boy Scouts' Food Drive.
