Roxborough Memorial Hospital Recognized for participation in National Program

CBM July 27, 2007

Roxborough Memorial Hospital has been recognized by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association for participating in their Get With The Guidelines program designed to improve quality in the treatment of patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure or stroke. All participating hospitals in the 2007 Gold, Silver and Bronze performance award categories were identified in a special advertisement in the July 24, 2007 Best Hospitals issue of U.S. News and World Report.

Roxborough was the only Philadelphia hospital listed along with others around the country to be identified for a Bronze initial performance award. To qualify, hospitals had to complete their first three months of participation in the program and achieve 85 percent or higher adherence to all Get with the Guidelines performance measures. These measures are included in the patient management tools for each of the identified diagnoses. At the end of the first three months, hospitals were required to submit a signed application form indicating that all measurement criteria had been met, and a written document abstract for review by theGet With The Guidelines science subcommittee.
